Cartridge Needles FAQ
Here are some common tattoo needle types and their differences:
- Round Liner (RL): This type of needle is suitable for line and detail work because of their ability to produce fine lines. 3RLL needles are our best-selling products!
- Round Shader (RS): Round shaders are good for soft shading effects and some subtle fill work.
- Curved Magnum (CM): The needles are curved to create softer shadows and transitions.
- Magnum (MG): suitable for filling and shading large areas
- 3X3RL Stipple Shader Bugpin: Great for efficient spot shading of large areas.
Pepax Lance cartridge is a standard tattoo needle and is compatible with most rotary tattoo machines on the market.
The Pepax cartridge is removed from the sterile packaging and stuck directly onto the handle of the rotating machine.
Once you're done tattooing, you can easily remove the cartridge by rotating it.
- Just prepare a cup of distilled water! When you need to remove excess ink from a cartridge, immerse the cartridge in water for a few seconds. Then turn off the machine and dry the cartridges with paper towels.
- You can also use products like Dip Caps, which quickly absorb excess ink from the needle.
Of course not! Cartridges are disposable, so don't try to reuse them. Using the same cartridge on multiple clients can easily spread bacteria and viruses.
Replace the cartridge on your machine before starting another job. Discard them when you are finished using them!
